Today, I received great news from our Food Committee. They have chosen a caterer and have locked them in for our date of 01 August, 2009 to prepare and serve the meal for our class at the Frenchville Community Center.
I commended them for their work progress to date and have granted executive privelige permission to Joyce MoodyFletcher, with her executive agreement, to issue a security deposit check to the caterer on behalf of the class as a result of therecommendation of the Food Service Committee.
Joyce will follow through with that issuance. The committee will bring their full recommendation and information to our next meeting scheduled for 14 March,2009.
As we discussed at the last meeting, the wheels will have to turn rapidly, at least for a while, after the next meeting to get the announcement worded, printed, and out to our fellow classmates in a short time frame to permit mailing, responding, recovery and tabulation so we have a handle on the numbers for the caterer, suppliers, and those committees with a vested interest in an actual count to supply their intended item or items; the paper weight souvenir, gift bag, etc. etc.
On a personal note, JoAnn and I sincerely hope you and yours had a great, safe, and meaningful Holiday Season and successful entry into the NewYear and will continue with good health and happiness.
