Good news for Clearfield wrestling fans!! At this year's PIAA State Wrestling Championship, 195 pounder Luke McGonigal won 1st place by pinning his opponent in the first period at 1:37 !! Luke becomes Clearfield's 41st PIAA State Champion. Luke took his opponent down at about the 10 second mark with one of the best Lateral Drop (called a Pancake in my era) that I've seen in my 50 years as an official!! Clearfield has more Wrestling Champions than any other town or city in PA!! Congratulations Luke!! Luke will be going to Lock Haven University this fall.
