Classmate David R. Boyce Passes Away

A recent note from Wilbur Shirey:

I'm sad to tell you that Dave Boyce passed away on Friday, February 19, 2010. He was on my call list as he lived in Harrisburg and we had a long talk.

In fact we talked until he said he had to quit because he was literally out of breath. He had emphasema and said last Spring that he would not be able to attend the reunion because of his health.

He was in the Navy for 30 years and had headed the Navy Recruiting Office in Clearfield. In fact he recruited Suzy and Karl's son into the Navy. I remember him as a character who was lots of fun to be around.
